MLG hosts $10k CS:GO tournament

Brett "Few" Sheffield on Fri, 09/28/2012 9:41PM
Major League Gaming was originally a longstanding console tournament with a tour around North America. Since being created, the organization has shifted to PC games, letting them thrive with viewership and a strong following. While having LAN events is a major part of what they do, they also host online tournaments through GameBattles. They have now added Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to their games list.

MLG has announced a $9,000 Steelseries 5v5 Ladder Tournament and a $1,000 Steelseries 1v1 Ladder tournament. If you wish to sign up, you can visit their website here.

While details about the event have not been released, ESEA News has been told that the details will be released very soon. Stay tuned to ESEA News for any announcements surrounding the upcoming CS:GO event and what it could mean for CS:GO's involvement in the MLG Pro Gaming Circuit, which has turned its focus to hosting PC games such as Starcraft 2 and League of Legends.
