cuL invited to S14 LAN; format adjusted

Brett "Few" Sheffield on Fri, 07/26/2013 4:02PM
After trying to confirm which teams would be attending the ESEA Season 14 Global LAN Finals, three of the top four European teams informed ESEA that they would not be able to make the trip. Those teams include, dsadsa, Titan and Team-LDLC.

In order to keep the level of competition at the highest, ESEA has now changed the LAN Finals to a six team LAN and will invite one more North American team. After going 9-7, eLevate will be invited to replace the European teams. They will face off against Cloud9 HyperX in the first round, a team they defeated in the last match of the season.

With this change, this also means that Ninjas in Pyjamas and Curse will get a first round BYE. NiP will assume the first seed, as they are the returning champions from last season. The seeds are as follows:

  1. Ninjas In Pyjamas
  2. Team iBUYPOWER
  3. Cloud9 HyperX
  4. Vagrant
  5. Area-51 Gaming
  6. eLevate

With the All-Star Game not happening, ESEA will instead hold Skill Competitions, with cash up for grabs in multiple, fun mini-events. Stay tuned to ESEA News for complete coverage of the Season 14 LAN Global Finals.
