Following a roster change that saw Keven "AZK" Lariviere return to the Curse roster
after just weeks on the Homeless roster, Curse has been forced to drop out of the ESWC 2013 North American ESEA Qualifier. The team had originally been playing with Moe "mOE" Assad and Stan "stan^" Sukachov, however, when the team decided to replace Assad mid qualifier, they were left without a 6th man on their roster.
While the team won't be able to qualify, it is highly unlikely that they will be invited directly to the tournament that will play host to two North American teams after the qualifier ends. The teams opponent, Crucial Connection, has received a BYE in the first round after the team that lost to Curse in the final round of the preliminary rounds was not able to attend.
Homeless will continue to play in the tournament, using Sam "DaZeD" Marine instead of Lariviere in the qualifier. The team that wins the upcoming qualifier will join Fnatic, who won the ESWC 2013 European ESEA Qualifier yesterday afternoon.
Without mOE, Curse can't qualify for ESWC 2013 in Paris, France
The ESWC 2013 North American ESEA Qualifier will start tomorrow at 4:00 PM CDT / 5:00 PM EDT / 2:00 PM PDT and will be played in its entirety. The complete bracket and match ups can be found in the event's Melee
