DaZeD joins former rival, Denial

Brett "Few" Sheffield on Mon, 09/30/2013 3:33AM
After returning to the lineup after a hiatus post DreamHack Summer, Stan "stan^" Sukachov has once again been replaced on the Denial squad. While he will remain in a backup role, the team has asked Sam "DaZeD" Marine to replace him in the starting lineup. Marine has long been on the opposite team of the former Dynamic trio, Eric "adreN" Hoag, Todd "anger" Williams and Keven "AZK Lariviere, but now joins forces with them as CS:GO gains more international notice and larger prize pools.

Sukachov told ESEA News that he will step down as a competitive player, "These guys have been hungry for a championship for a while, we always had the weapons needed to win but just failed to perform when needed. I don't blame them for this decision as I clearly wasn't the player I was before. i hope this gives them the extra consistency factor which i think this team may of been missing, no hard feelings and i wish them the best. Like last time, I don't plan on playing for any other team competitively."

DaZeD (middle) will now face off against some of his former teammates on compLexity after joining his once rivals

During the end of last season and throughout the off-season, Marine was focused on playing console first person shooters instead of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive after he abruptly quit. He has recently been seen playing with former teammates in the ESWC NA Qualifier and MSI Beat iT! competition. He will now make a full return to playing CS:GO.

His former team, Homeless, has still qualified for ESWC and will likely have to use another player to fill the vacant spot. If the team is not able to make it, it is possible that the spot be transferred to the runner ups, Crucial Connexion.

Marine spoke to ESEA News about the change, "I'm excited to be playing with these guys after competing against them for so many years. We have the talent to do something really special here, and i'm looking forward to competing alongside them."

The team will partake in the Season 15 ESEA-Invite division and will likely be seen at DreamHack Winter 2013, which boasts $100,000 for the first place team and $250,000 overall. Stay tuned to ESEA News for complete coverage of the CS:GO scene in North America and more!
