ESWC made its comeback last year in an attempt to reestablish itself as one of the major international tournaments. ESWC has announced its first selections of 2011 First Person Shooter games.

This year will see the return of both Counter-Strike 1.6 Males and Counter-Strike 1.6 females. Adding to that list will be the addition of Counter-Strike:Source. Many recent international tournaments have put up a voting option for fans to encourage a game to be added. The CS:S community has long wanted to be included in the bigger tournaments alongside CS 1.6. ESWC will be one of the first tournaments to announce the games side-by-side on an international level.
"Since Source has an increasingly active community, Games-Solution aims to satisfy the expectations of both players and spectators and maintain its level of excellence in the world of competitive gaming," states the ESWC announcement
They have promised to add more games to the list for 2011 that will be announced soon. The Grand Finals for ESWC 2011 will take place in France this fall with a $220,000 prize pot.
